I respectfully request that you ask the AdminModerators to remove your postings from this thread. The Geology Picture of the Week is not about climate change. I pointed out a common misconception about volcanic emissions to one respondent here. If you feel that this response justifies your postings, I will request that my posting be removed as well.

Well, you brought up widely held misconceptions related to CO2 emission. I just thought I would mention the other much more widely held misconception. After all, our goal IS to educate and inform, no?

BTW: Geology, especially historical geology is a huge passion of mine. Plate tectonics, structural geology, paleogeography, etc. Fascinating stuff. Thanks for posting the pix.
