Sadly, no adult beverages allowed during regular pool hours. It’s a license/liability thing. Although a few of us have been known to bring our “special cups” I didn’t get around to that today.

The worse thing I saw was at 3:00 p.m. for the moment of silence. People got quiet and then a young lady offered a simple prayer and sang The National Anthem.

I immediately stood, and so did a handful of others. But there were over 100 people there and less than 10 of us standing.

Helluva way to teach your children about respect for the flag.

Amazing, simply amazing. we concur; you’d have thought more would participated,.

Which reminds me, getting toward dusk, I’ll bring the flag in. The contractor across the street flies his all night, but he’s got a flagpole and a light on it.
