Beautiful photos, Corin! The “candles” are Kniphofia uvaria, also known as Torch Lilies. We have some but they are nowhere near ready to bloom, will be another couple of months for us. LSA

Thanks. I knew they had a real name. I think I’ve seen them listed in books as Torch Lilies.
