I wuvs thenewcar...
It needs a bath right now, though. Poor little thing.
The other bonus is that I’ve seen my nieces three times in the last two and a half weeks, ‘cause it’s not as big of a deal to run up there. Cool. Probably will go up again next Sunday or the Sunday after that. - brother’s birthday is the 22nd, so they’ll likely do something for him on the weekend.
Ooops... I think I forgot you. See above. :~)
Hey now... ;-)
Heh... Hang in there Rosie! :~)
Man uses gun to scratch back; shoots himself

By KIMBERLY DURNAN / The Dallas Morning News
FORT WORTH A Fort Worth man trying to scratch an itch on his back used a revolver and accidentally shot himself.
Jorge Espinal, 44, was drinking beer and playing poker around 3 a.m. Sunday morning in his home in the 3500 block of Montague Street, when he got up from the table and walked into another room, said Fort Worth police Lt. Kenneth Dean.
He told officers he had an itch on his back and grabbed the first thing he could get a hold of, which was a revolver, Lt. Dean said. The gun went off.”
Espinal went back and told his buddies that he shot himself. They didnt believe him until they saw the blood coming down his back, Lt. Dean said.
Espinal was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.
But was the itch still there? This sounds more like Wiley Coyote.
That’s a good question. :~)
That was my comment on the thread... That I bet that it still itched.
Dopey people. What an idiot. Everybody knows that to scratch your back you use a rifle, not a handgun. Yeesh.
Abby Cat is not walking well. We lifted her off the couch tonight and made her a bed on the floor, but she hasn’t moved. She hasn’t eaten in a day or two, and as far as we can tell she hasn’t been to the litter box. When she “walks” she’s not putting any pressure on the leg.
Wife is going to try to take her to the vet tomorrow. Reality is, we can’t afford more surgery (heck, we couldn’t afford the last one).
Nana will possibly go back to the nursing home on Friday (of course that means three more days of paying to hold her room...ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching). I hate to be so mercenary about this, but we just can’t take many more hits.
I’m going to bed. I got way too little sleep last night.
See y’all in the a.m.
Hope Abby cat is OK after the vet visit.
And Nana too.
Good night! Get some rest. :~)
WRT cat issues... I’m having a similar issue with Josie. Month or two ago she quit eating much if anything. Was clearly sick and unhappy (more than usual). Thought for a bit that it might be the end for her... But she snapped out of it and suddenly got better. Gained weight back.
Taking her to the vet is not an option. No way are we doing that. Ever. Again.
But this weekend I noticed that she’s thinning again. I think she’s not long for this world. She’s old, and more crotchety than usual (which is a lot) and doesn’t move around much.
She’s taken now to sleeping on top of my computer upstairs. Very bad. I’ve cluttered it up with pointy sharp things to keep her off it. And sticky tape.
I’m going out of my way to make thase days as nice as I can. Gave her some tuna this weekend. That stuff is crack-fer-kitties.
But Josie isn’t going to last much longer. I think she’s on life #9.
The "Large Print" version!
I'm running at 1680 x 1050 pixels, about two-thirds bigger than my old resolution.
I'm not sure that's even *possible*, man...
Seriously, though...sorry to hear that she's not doing well.
I’ve “heard” (don’t know this from personal experience) that Tapco (http://www.tapco.com) makes a good U.S. made, aftermarket single and double hook AK trigger group.
Well, gee...hope she’s doing better tomorrow!
Tonight, I’d almost trade. Cisco just had a late-evening bath on account of he rolled in Something Unspeakably Nasty. Even now he still smells like very dead fish thinly disguised by coconut shampoo. I think a part of the aroma is being propagated in vapor form, if you catch my drift, so there may not be much more that I can do.
And Tam still won’t shut up.
At least Halvah’s good. Dim as a 2 watt light bulb, bless her heart, but she’s good.
Sorry to hear about that. My cat hates the vet too, and they hardly did anything last time.
Yeah - I thought it was near the end for Josie last month, but I told dad to wait until she was so weak it wouldn’t be a big nightmare to get her to the vet, if she needed to go.
Trouble is, until she finally dies, she’s like sharing the house with a grouchy psychotic. I fear for Dad and Dona sleeping in fear with her on their feet. That wound she gave Dona was something else. Crazy cat. You should almost take her up with you to your place...
Research on "Komondor" seems to show a guard dog with his own ghillie suit:
