The Hobbit Hole XXXVI - O! Water cold we may pour at need...

Posted on 05/03/2008 8:48:06 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

In other newz, Sam patiently waits fer the nayber to appear out her back door. She saves treats for him, so some days he just goes out and sits and stares. When she's there, we'll hear her husband yell "Linda, your boyfriend is here..."

But alas, no snax today...

Hmmm... I have a pony and a little black kitten.

So what does that mean, anyway?

Well, there's “something” in that area of my brain...a snake-like lesion. It's in the hearing part of the brain, but just under the visual part.

I've just got the report...don't know much at this point. The doctor will go over it with me.

It came with a recommendation to follow-up with more tests.

It may be old...it may be from back when I lost my hearing for all I know. Anyway, I'm not worrying about it right now. I just hope it explains why I've lost so much vision on my right side. It would stand to reason, being on the left...

I knew something was up. When I went in for the MRI and MRA, they told me it was without contrast (meaning they weren’t going to inject a dye into my veins for this test.)

So they did the test and then the radiology tech came back in and said they changed their minds...they were going to inject the dye. I asked why and he said “Well, we *might* have seen something on the first test.”

So they injected me and did the test again.

Dang, 2J! Glad the docs didn’t leave you hanging or anything /s. How does this figure into your high blood pressure? Or does it? LSA

Dry and old trees. I need about $10,000 to just have 'em all taken down.

And true, Sam's never missed second breakfast if he could help it (but seriesly, he's lost some weight in the last year).

We had two “good hurricanes” here in 2004 and 05. Never want to see another one again.
