Well, I’ve left it... so holler if you end up in there alone.

Not many Law and Order reruns, basketball on TNT. History Channel has the movie Kingdom of Heaven, all about the nasty Crusaders attacking the innocent Arabs. Good night for DVD's.

I think that the dearth of good stuff comes from the idea that folks are driving off for the 3 day weekend and won't be home to watch. With gas prices where they are this is a misjudgement IMHO.

I have DVR. Have stuff saved up. ;-)

Also a nice stack of library books. And notebooks to write in. And music to listen to. And plenty of house work.

Also coffee and chocolate.

All the good things in life! Well...minus the house work...

I R TARD. We did another 6 hour concrete pouring session today. It actually went more smoothly, and quickly than the last time because the kids got a couple of batches of materials ready for me, so that when I began, I just kept going, and they kept making up batches of stuff to keep me supplied in gravel, sand and Portland cement. When a batch was done, we'd pour it into the wheelbarrow, and I'd start another one.

We did 5 batches today. SirKit had changed the design a bit so that we wouldn't need as much concrete as last time, on the other half of that area behind the garage. We're gonna go out tomorrow morning to mix and pour the concrere for the last post to go under the lower deck. We're going to Paul's girlfriend's parents house for her Law School Graduation party tomorrow afternoon, so we didn't want to work too long in the morning.

When we have another nice long sunny day, we'll start the pour on the next section of 'rat slab'.

We saw Prince Caspian tonight. It was great, maybe even better than the first. It's been a while since I've read the books, but it seemed mostly accurate. And there were a few subtle things that showed they paid very good attention to detail.

Clare and Joseph saw it last week. Clare loved it, Joseph, not so much. We may try to see it at the beer and burger theater later in the summer. We're thinking we'll also wait to see Ironman and Indiana Jones there, too. But we ARE planning to see Dark Knight at the Imax Theater in July ;o)

Saw the poster for Dark Knight. It was a bit disturbing, since you knew the character was Heath Ledger.

Yeah, either they have to come up with someone else to play the Joker, or just write him out of any subsequent movies. I don't know the storyline well enough to know if he's one of the recurring characters. But Heath was under enough makeup that I think they could bring someone else in to play the part; that actor would just do it a little differently.

I see they're introducing Harvey Dent in this movie, so they're likely setting up his character for the next one.

Good Morning ALL; rain has moved on through for us, g’nad should be getting some in a bit. Sip. Nice thunderstorm last night, plenty of lightning, but only about an inch of rain. no matter, the newgrass is coming in nicely. Siberian Iris in full bloom, as are the black locust. The air has nicely scented all week with the black locust blooms.

SirKit's youngest sister is over in your neck of the woods this weekend. She's spending the Memorial Day holiday with his older sister and her family who live in LoneJack. They're the ones who used to live a few blocks over from you.

We have some bright sunshine this morning, with a few clouds; good concrete mixing and pouring weather! We have one more post to pour, which is all we're doing today, and then we have to finish up the rat slabs before we can put up the deck structure.

Mornin'...should be mowing, but I'm just ~not~.

Pool opens at noon today. Mrs. and I won't be getting into the water before June...or July. But we realized that Luke doesn't have a swimsuit that fits...so I'm off to Tarzhay.

See y'all later.

Good morning. We’re going out to breakfast this morning, and then going to buy some flowers to plant. Probably some mowing too, and stall cleaning, quite a bit of animal juggling. :~) Good day!

So much for today’s transplanting plans.

At least I can work on the compost pile today.

Back from Target, waiting on folks to get ready (pool opens at noon and it takes us exactly 1.35 minutes to get there).

Gonna come back and mow, clean up the grill and maybe more. May plant some flowers on Monday if I get motivated.

Or I could just buy a couple of pots already planted...

It’s still really grey and rainy here. I’ve been ironing and OB has been moving his winter/summer clothes around. We’re both still in long sleeves and long pants; the thought of a swimming pool is most unappealing right now! LSA

Our transplanting plans have also been put on hold until later today. Thegreycat has come for breakfast, but doesn’t want to stay in the basement, where he would at least be warm and dry. Sigh. LSA
