We expected them back, that’s why we put the pot there. They griped around for a couple of days, tried to nest on the light fixture (didn’t work!), and then started building on top of the pot. They’ve only got about 3” clearance above the nest!
Next year we’ll try harder!
OK...I know no one is ready for this:
This morning, on the early local news, I watched a car chase. Sort of. Some idiot decided to steal a pickup truck, but when he drove past this really cool car, he dumped the truck and took the car.
Silly boy. It was a “bait” car, and Metro soon killed the engine. The guy bailed, and ran to a golf course. The opportunity was there, and he took it!
A maintenance golf cart was just waiting for him! Seizing the opportunity, he took off. But found himself going in circles. He cut across the turf and headed for the freeway.
Hot on his heels was another maintenance golf cart, and behind the wheel was a maintenance man who was really ticked off.
The offender headed for a tunnel that would take him to the south side of the course, via a tunnel under the freeway. By then, Metro was hot on his heels and also in the air.
By the time the traffic ‘copter found him again on the other side of the tunnel, he was spread-eagled. Ya think he was afraid of the guy in the other golf cart?
All caught on tape, courtesy of of Captain Paul and Hunky Harvey!
LOL!
Determination! Birds can really flatten themselves out!
LOL! A candidate for Stupidest Criminal.
I almost wet my pants while I was watching it. It really was a lift for a Monday, that’s for sure!
LOL!
Good family fun!
The catz are watching bats out the front window now. Very exciting!
The old house we lived in when I was a kid had bats in the attic.
We loved to watch them on summer nights, when they would zap all the mosquitoes they could eat.
The catz must be hyper!
They left when Bill and Tom came in the front door. Guess they went to eat. Shannon will sometimes charge the window screen, but Wednesday is too dignified.
Gotta go - PBS is running a show on Alexander Hamilton, who is Way Cool :-).
And tomorrow’s the primary, so I’ll be out at the poll with my customized Curtis Blackwood mints and my Jeff Gerber sign. You have a great night and a good Tuesday!
I’m on my way outta here, too.
Tomorrow, I’m taking my friend’s mother out for the day...bringing her out here to Hooterville to show her my digs, and the “quaint” town, then taking her to a spendy mall a few miles from here so she can shop at Macy’s, then to lunch, then I’ll take her cute little self home.
(She’s 4’10”, maybe...)
She’s 82 and she had a stroke in November, so she’s slow and confused. But I love that old sweetheart. She’s a good friend!
Take care of you tomorrow, and I’ll see you when we both get here!!
XOXO
Sorry for my absence but I was dealing with major issues (sorry NnBob!). Not quite over yet, but the future looks rather a bit brighter than it has for a LONG time.
Real life is darned inconvenient about interrupting our playtime.
Amen to that!!! This past weekend ranks one of the lowest points in many, many years -- but things are now on the way back up.
Did I say that already?
And did I forget it?
Did I forget what?
You forgot what Bill Cosby said.
Good Night ‘Face!
Bill Cosby said lots of things....problem is I was too often laughing too hard to remember what he said.
"My father told me, don't worry about becoming senile. It it happens to you, you won't know it."
