Same here. AI needs a front-man that has the it factor and DC can do it. For the life of me I can't figure out what category of musical fan David A would appeal too. He has a good voice but where is it going?
I preferred David C's version of the U2 song. His voice brought some much needed soul and character to that song. I would buy that version of the song. For me sometimes Bono sounds lonely and scared when he sings.

Fresh off her second consecutive win as Top Female Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards, Carrie Underwood will return to the American Idol stage on Wednesday night to perform on the season 7 show finale.
The former Idol winner will sing her smash hit “Last Name.” Underwood is currently headlining her Carnival Ride tour with special guest Josh Turner. Her debut album, Some Hearts, was recently certified 7x-Platinum, becoming the best-selling solo female country debut in RIAA history. Some Hearts has also surpassed all other releases as the all-time U.S. top-selling album by any American Idol contestant.

“We have got probably the biggest star in the world right now coming on,” teased Lythgoe. “That’s all I’m saying — the biggest star in the world right now.”
In addition, Lythgoe said producers also put together another performance via the wonder of technology.
“I’ve done another one of those videos, if you remember we did Celine Dion and Elvis Presley [during Idol Gives Back last spring],” said Lythgoe. “I’ve done another one of those, which is absolutely fantastic... More than two [people] this time.”
