Burying one’s parents is one of the hardest things that people have to experience in life. I had to do it back at the end of 2004 and it sucked. It sure is. My mom passed away this past New Year's Eve and it still hurts every day.

I don’t know how it was for you but it was certainly a huge step forward in adulthood for me and I was in my later 30’s at the time. We had been fairly estranged for some time but in the end you are letting go of part of your identity.
Sorry for your loss as well....
