and I hate Cheerios...I used to get my butt kicked when I would sit there gagging the whole time and crying because I couldn’t eat that crap!!!! To this day, Cheerios gives me the creeps....ugh!
No Dawg!! That sucked.
Remember Jan Hooks and Nora Dunn as the Sweeney Sisters? It reminded me of one of their medleys.
Yeah, I think it’s only 2 weeks away!
I LOVE the Sweeney Sisters!!!
David Cook Round 1: Rocked. Out. Game over - just give him the prize. Round 2: Sounded a little like Daughtry there... not like that's a bad thing or anything.
Brooke White Round 1: Brooke, Brooke, Brooke. Leave the tenor thing to tenors. Scratch that - that was more bass, along the lines of Randy Travis. Seriously... sing like a girl. Round 2: Fantastic. Finally a piano performance where she isn't plunking out the chords on the beat.
Monchichi Round 1: Pure. Crap. Round 2: Crap x (100 x 10^(1000-n)) where n is the average age of Monchichi voters.
Syesha Round 1: I keep forgetting she's still in this. Sweet performance - kinda Karen Carpenter-like. Round 2: Well, as Paula always says, "(At least) you look beautiful!"
Best of the nite: David Cook. Worst of the night: Monchichi, but I daresay Castro is going home.
“I think David C. and Syesha did the best tonight.”
I agree!
Syesha should call that last song “I thank the Lord for the tight dress.”
I already started voting...tee hee!
Her second song is "Thank The Lord For The Night Time"
Great choice! Syesha sings with three female backup singers on stage. I enjoyed that one.
Randy: You're finally realizing who you are. This is where I like you.
Paula: First song, wonderful side and romantic. Second song shows a whole different side. I love her!
Simon: This is officially the strangest show we've ever done (TRUE!) I think you may be in trouble tonight. There's only five of you left. I don't think you really had a memorable second song tonight.
BS. Syesha and Cook had the only memorable performances in the entire show.
I’ll have to get it just to listen to the soundtrack - like I need anymore ABBA music in my house.....my poor brother begged me to quit playing the Mamma Mia soundtrack last year - he was sick of getting in my car and it was playing....
If you ever get a chance to see it, catch “The Untouchables” on AMC when they DVD on TV. They put all these facts on the bottom. They have all these things about Sean Connery that are hysterical. He must have been a nightmare on the set, but all the changes he suggested made the movie even better.
I think you've hit one of the two main reasons why the ratings are down significantly this year. There's no true star in this year's bunch, and no real competition between two or more compelling contestants. (The other reason, in my opinion, is the insulting beg-a-thon.)
night all....see ya tomorrow....off to sit outside in wonderful 70 degree weather.....I love Spring....
Me too! “Clang clang clang! Went the trolley!”
I’ve only been able to get into David C’s number to vote twice. Busy.
Cook
Syesha
Bottom 2:
Brooke
Castro
Monchichi falls in the middle somewhere, but he wasn't all that great either, regardless what the judges say.
I agree 100% with you about that damned beg a thon...it is supposed to be a talent competition, not a democrat fund raiser!
Next week is traditionally the “Week 4 Shocker!” episode.
Bottom 2: Dreds and Brooke
I love them both, but I agree with you.
