I think it will be a battle of the Davids at the end.

I think you’re right about them jumping the shark with their beg-a-thon. And then their beg-a-thon happened at the time that sangaya got booted and they attributed a decline in viewership to the leaving of sangaya instead of the real reason. People avoiding the beg-a-thon!

Kelly-Reuben; Fantasia-Taylor; Jordin-? (one of the Davids?)

Kelly, Ruben, Fantasia, Carrie, Taylor, Jordin, then ?

Of the six winners so far, only Kelly and Carrie have become true A-list stars. Ruben has turned to a career in gospel music, the last that was heard from him. Fantasia is a B-list R&B celeb sliding toward C-list. Taylor is performing on the Southeast Asia circuit. And even with the help of a collaboration with the current hot guy in hip-hop, Jordin's first album has been disappointing.

So far the winners have been white, black, black, white, white and mixed race. On Larry King a week or so ago, Cowell said that he thinks David A. will win this year. Gotta have a Hispanic winner, dontcha know.

Exactly. Same thing happened this week. If they want to do a beg-a-thon, they should do it as a completely separate show. The only reason they don't is because they know it wouldn't draw an audience.

Mea culpa! How could I forget Carrie?

Maybe because she is in a league of her own, so far above all the amateurs?

I like Carly the most, I guess. In the right light she can be very attractive, but ...

Well, the Give Back is also a vehicle to provide exposure to the artists in a positive light on the #1 televised show on the planet.

IMO, that's how they secured the Beatles' music and other Marquee names. Next week is Neil Diamond. David Cook should WOW us again! ;^)

Could be. It's hard to believe that just a couple of years ago, she was an unknown.

I didn't hear Ryan announce that. I read somewhere that next week was show tunes/Webber

Next week is the music of Andrew Lloyd Weber. I read it here then heard Ryan announce it at the end of the show.

I thought I heard them announce it in a commercial.

Unless they meant 'soon'.

First ones I think of are from Phantom of The Opera.

Brooke can sing Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again. ;^)

I don’t know. Sounds like a job for Wolfstar. :) What do you think Wolfstar, any suggestions what they should sing?

When we get to this level of the elimination rounds, with everyone of such great quality, it makes it tough. But I have to say that I am happy that my favorite, Jason Castro, goes on again into the next final rounds and well deserved. He is pure magic! Jason Castro, yes!

And no loser has done better than Daughtry. If his next album is half as good as this one, getting radio play every day then he'll be right up there.

Carly can sing that song from “Cats” about her day in the sun. She would be good with that big power voice of hers.

I think your idea for Brooke is brilliant. “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” is a very sad poignant song and Brooke is able to emote what she sings.

My gosh, who would tackle “Music of the Night”? Syesha?? or David A.?
