My grandmother freezes her milk - anyone know how long that lasts in the freezer? Does it taste good?
Hello and welcome to our learning experience....
I have frozen milk for years, but have no idea how long it lasts, I would think that a month or two.
The real problem with it,is it separates and the water makes a hard ice that is still hard, while you are using the melted portion, it must thaw completely and be well shaken.
You can of course use the last part to make gravy or bread with.
I freeze my milk all the time. I eat organic, so when I see organic milk on clearance or on sale, I stock up. I do the same with cream, yogurt drinks and egg nog also. They only stay in there a few weeks, so I’m not sure how long they would stay good.

I used to freeze milk back when I was in college. It seemed to last pretty much indefinitely, but I wouldn’t freeze it for more than say 6 months to a year. It tasted OK. Not as good as fresh and you needed to shake it up as the water would would separate from the milk solids. These days, I’d just buy UHT milk boxed if I were looking to store it.
