Funny, I have been looking at the Mac(dreaming about it)and what you have described,is what I would use it for,You just sold me on it.
The Fire-wire cable allows you load all... or individual parts of another Mac hard drive in the blink of an eye! Also... if you're going to be carrying it for extended periods(airports, presentations... etc.), I'd seriously consider the 'Air' version laptops.
