That's the one thing hubby told me I had to agree on doing, getting them fixed when it was time. They'll get their shots.
Do the worming first since you have kids playing with them.
Do it through a Vet (I would do this, this Friday) and have them scanned for chips while you are in there. Keep the poo cleaned up in your yard daily to prevent re-infestation (best to clean it up right away each time). Once you get a negative poo test for worms then you can relax on cleaning up the poo everyday.
Before getting shots and neutering them...(including the dew claw removal if you choose to do it)
Try to locate an owner of them for one or 2 weeks (call the police station, animal shelters and local vets to see if someone has reported them missing).
Wait about 2 weeks before getting their shots so you are not throwing that money out the window if someone claims them within during those 2 weeks.
Oops...
before you take them in for worming - get a fresh poop sample from at least one of them the same day you take them in to the vet.(if one has worms the other has them)
