In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
Aphorism - \ˈa-fə-ˌri-zəm\
Noun
1 : a concise statement of a principle
2 : a terse formulation of a truth or sentiment

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. For extra credit add links to articles or pictures. The more teacher laughs the higher the grade. Have fun.

Last night things were a-changing. I used to go to Home, then just click on WFTD and hit post. I am not sure what I did today to get there, but it appeared in the right spot. Ah, well........the changes will keep my brain working.

I had heard about
this from xsteen. it goes to show that the students are conservative, because someone stole that piece to get it out of view, while the administration screwed around trying to figure out what to do with it. Dr. Lazarus is a good guy, the people defaming him on the thread do not know him. I have met him. I don't agree with him leaving the piece up, but then i didn't see the piece either.

Some of those comments were exactly right though weren’t they? It’s safe for people to bash Christians and things they revere because they don’t have to worry about retaliation. Heaven protect them if they did that about a muslim woman. We’re the greatest majority in this country and the most oppressed. It makes no sense.
