You know Lori I didn't do this for $20.00. I truly didn't expect a cent & if I didn't need the gas money I would have more strongly insisted he keep it. He was about my son's age & obviously in a mess. The truck he was driving (or wanted to drive that had stopped/stalled) was old & in rough shape. For dress of young people it is hard to tell if they are poor or fashionable.. but he was not a YUPPY that is for sure.
I stop & help people & give rides when I can. There is not a whole lot I can do for others at times, but these simple gestures of good will & help are not hard & mean a lot to people along the way
I realize the risks & potential for problems.. Guess this is just another way of trusting God with your life.
I know that you didn’t do it for the $20.00. I was teasing you.
It is just that I would not stop for any stranger, even with my son or hubby in the car.
Guess that I’m a coward. I will not let PrissyMissy play in the front yard unless someone is with her or she stays close to the house so I can see her from the living room. She cannot go to the side of the house. It could be just California, but there are lots of strange strangers out there.
BE Careful!!
