Not sure I understand the comment about government bases. I don’t think we’ve stored significant amounts of ricin in years. It’s not very effective on the battlefield.

The idea of a poof-box of it secreted on a Janet Air flight to Area 51 might be enough to put various high-ranking sphincters into full-pucker mode...
It gives ME the creeps, and I'm just a midwestern nobody (who does NOT like the idea of either a wide-open border serving as a conduit for terrorists, OR a "lone nut on a mission" with a bunch of deadly poison).

PS: I will confess to not having been paying a whole lot of attention to this story (I do know they released the "maybe-perp's" name, and it didn't sound "islamic" -- but that doesn't mean anything, what with the various reports of NON-"middle-eastern" islamists being used against us), so, I don't know if this has been covered or not -- does anyone know if the hotel is near the airport?
