Not to doubt you but the Sci-Fi channel was showing Firefly a year or two ago, did something change?

The Sci-Fi channel did pick up Firefly, and unlike FOX, played them in the proper order.

I don’t think they’re showing them now. There are only 15 episodes, and you can only go so far without running it into the ground. They’ll probably break it out again later.

Well, they paid to show the existing epsodes, but they cannot make any new ones. Fox stillhas the rights, and they evidently don’t want to play with anyone else where those are concerened. Fox has even gone to the point of shutting down local gatherings of Firefox fans who were getting together to watch the DVDs of the series, even though they weren’t charging for attendance. Fox evidently doesn’t want to do anything with the property, but doesn’t wnat to let anyone else do something with it (as a series at least)either.

Sci Fi bought the syndication rights to show Firefly for a period of time, but Fox owns the rights to make more shows. I really wish that they would do so, but actors do get other jobs. I'd love to see more shows that come between "Objects in Space" and "Serenity." Like about 5 or 6 seasons worth.
