I am SO glad I don't live in Alaska. Ketchikan (where the sun does go down) was bad enough but Tromsø Norway (home of the northernmost Mexican restaurant in the world, above the Arctic Circle), however delightful otherwise, was horrible in this regard.

I suspect Tromso is one place I’d really like to see, after Iceland. :o])
