When I showed it to LoM, way back when, she broke down. The significance escapes us Westerners -- all we see is a man giving a man a rose, with no context involved.
To her it said Iranians love Americans still, whatever the differences between our governments.

Roses are very special to Iranians. And people who had nothing after the earthquake, brought American rescue-workers roses and tea to thank them for coming all the way around the world to help them.
