So, with gasolene prices bobbing up and down. And the economy also bobbing! When and what will it take to get rel action n Aternative energy?Nikola tesla(1856-1943) had the answer more then a 100 years ago! That of broadcasting wirelessly eletric power! He even set up a braodcasting tower for this at Wardecylle,Long Island(Now Shoreham, L.I.) But when he mentioned FREE ELECTRIOC POWER to hs financial backer the great Robber Baron J.P. Morga. Whos meatered eletric power intreste would have been ruined. The money was removed and Tesla went into a life long debt!To honor Dr. Tesla in 2005 and 2006 I organized the GLOBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY held every July 10th the birthdate anniversary of Dr tesla. To rembewr Tesla and promote ALTERNATIVE ENERGY AND FUELS,VeHICLES. See the Tesla memorial Society www.teslasociety.com And Pure Energy Systems A Community Built Alternative energy site www.Peswiki.comNikola Tesla/GloBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY. No!!!!! What is neeeded is REAL ACTIO NOW!!!! Perhaps at least a Day to rember Nikola tesla And PROMTING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY is one way to do this?
I found an ole and lena joke website. Had 4 pages of them...
How are you doing?
You have your own place, and a new job, if I remember right.
Enjoying winter?
Which, is ok as I have a lot of work to do on the new house. Which we are planning on getting mostly moved in to over the next week.
And no... I do not like winter. It's one reason why I tried moving us to Texas in the first place...
And you? How are things in your world?
Sounds like a good time for a work break.
Good luck with the move.
Have you had a lot of snow?
Way too much cold and flu going around, and around....
We’ve had tons of snow with another 2’ or so expected by tomorrow.
I’m looking forward to spring...we saw our first Canada Goose today!
Woo-Hoo!
Enough snow to be annoying. Especially during commute times.
Afternoon, y’all. We have Canada geese year round here; they only attract attention if they attack joggers or get hit by cars.
It’s a sign of spring here.
Try not to hit any till May, OK?
I’ve never hit a goose, but I see them dead by the road sometimes ... and I’ve stopped and honked at them when they decide to stand in the middle of the road. You can hunt them in some states, but they’re protected in North Carolina, and we have millions.
Well, sheesh! If you have millions, you don't need to hunt. Y'all can just buy anything you want.
Oh, ha-ha. What do you think would happen if I tried to pay for a bunch of groceries, diapers, and fish at the Wal-mart with a trunk-load of Canada geese? The cashiers aren’t trained for that!
Are you worried they might give you a couple of chickens as change?
As I’ve mentioned before, we’re not allowed to keep live chickens in our subdivision. Now, if I could get some frozen, skinless, boneless chicken in return, I’d happily send Anoreth, Bill and Tom out to round up a batch of Canadas! (The geese poop all over the sidewalks!)
The cashiers?
They should have better training.
Too bad. A few years ago, some chickens that had been allowed to run free came over the hill to take up residence in my back yard.
They began roosting in a pine tree on the property line. Visitors were surprised to see our "chicken tree".
They did fairly well at fending for themselves, but they couldn't protect their eggs from predation.
Eventually, my neighbor began collecting them and relocating them, just to be rid of the noise and annoyance.
They didn't bother me too much. I noticed a few things about their visit: The roosters got "crew-cuts" during the freezing weather, as their combs froze.
And for a long time, we didn't have crickets trying to get into the house in the fall.
I wouldn’t mind if people had chickens - we get up early, anyway - but it’s against the rules! If you’re not in a subdivision with Homeowners’ Association regs, there are lots of properties with chickens around here.
You first!
Looks like, when they say “grub”, they mean it!
