Off to the salt mine!
Show-off!
My version of same: Off to the Wal-mart! For some reason, my family insists on eating several times a day, and they get crochety when I tell them, “There’s toast!” Nobody wanted to work on the menu, so they’ll be stuck with pumpkin soup, eggplant sauce, and That Chickpea Dish Again. Bwahahahahahaha!
Yep. I just wish I could still get shark steaks. Sounds like what swordfish would taste like. Very clean, but meaty.
We had shark a few months ago. It was pretty good.
It’s so hard to get good, fresh fish! Back in Missouri, if we wanted fish I’d just walk half a mile to my uncle’s pond and catch them.
Morning, all.
I was supposed to be on my way to Mesa AZ, right now, but my body told me that was too much to ask of it. So I’m going to lay low today, then try again tomorrow.
I’m all packed, so all I need to do is load ‘em up and head ‘em out.
*sigh*
Sorry you’re poorly! I was wondering if you’d departed for AZ. I hope you feel well enough to go tomorrow.
We’re supposed to get strong thunderstorms later; I just got back from Wal-mart.
OldTax-lady isn’t coming until *next* Tuesday, so I’ll have to dust *again*!
Thanks! I now know why I didn’t go, and I’m glad I listened to my body. :o]
I’ll do some dusting/cleaning today, and load up the truck so I won’t have much to do in the morning, and can get an EARLY start. I really hated to call my brother and tell him I was delayed, but he’s pretty understanding.
It will give me time to make sure I have everything that I need, too. I didn’t really feel like packing yesterday, but did it, anyway, even though I had a busy morning. I should know better.
I hope you’ve got your toothbrush!
I have a little cosmetics bag that I keep filled with personal items, including hair products. All I have to do is make sure the items are all replaced after each trip.
And I have a list of things to pack, so all I need to do is print it out and I’m good to go. ;o]
You’re brilliant! We run around hysterically every time we have to go anywhere, just as if we’ve never had to pack before.
Thanks, but redhead is the one who gave me the idea for the list. Frustration gave me the idea for the cosmetics bag, even though the bag itself was a gift. I kept seeing all these little bins of “travel-sized” products, and realized there was a reason for them!
And when the kids were small, they had their own suitcases, and had to pack what they wanted/needed or they went without ~~ just like mom! LOL!
Same to ya!
And a *smooch* for luck!
:o])
Storms aren’t quite here yet. At 1:30, I’m going to hear Bill give his presentation on DDT use. It’s the last day of the Logic and Rhetoric class!
(Rachel Carson was an idiot.)
Let me know how it turns out!
It’s going to be colder here tomorrow, which means it’s probably going to be a better day to drive. The critters don’t like it when the sun beats in on them for hours on end. Poor things.
Yes, Bill learned that :-). He found some interesting data on health and environmental problems associated with *higher* populations of birds, though.
Like everything in nature, the relationships among bird and insect populations are much more complicated than activists would like them to be.
Which is why the activists like to dummy up their statistics. What you don’t know can hurt the Earth.
Hello from the cow patties....
Gorgeous day today.
Somehow, “cow patties” and “gorgeous” just don’t seem to fit comfortably into the same sentence. Unless you’re like the scientist in “The Gods Must Be Crazy...”
