So, with gasolene prices bobbing up and down. And the economy also bobbing! When and what will it take to get rel action n Aternative energy?Nikola tesla(1856-1943) had the answer more then a 100 years ago! That of broadcasting wirelessly eletric power! He even set up a braodcasting tower for this at Wardecylle,Long Island(Now Shoreham, L.I.) But when he mentioned FREE ELECTRIOC POWER to hs financial backer the great Robber Baron J.P. Morga. Whos meatered eletric power intreste would have been ruined. The money was removed and Tesla went into a life long debt!To honor Dr. Tesla in 2005 and 2006 I organized the GLOBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY held every July 10th the birthdate anniversary of Dr tesla. To rembewr Tesla and promote ALTERNATIVE ENERGY AND FUELS,VeHICLES. See the Tesla memorial Society www.teslasociety.com And Pure Energy Systems A Community Built Alternative energy site www.Peswiki.comNikola Tesla/GloBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY. No!!!!! What is neeeded is REAL ACTIO NOW!!!! Perhaps at least a Day to rember Nikola tesla And PROMTING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY is one way to do this?
Good point, and you’d have to chew it forever, like octopus.
I'd really have to think about it for a bit... I've had octopus and it's not an experience I want to repeat any time soon.
Agreed. I’ve never eaten a bagpipe, but octopus once was enough.
I can hardly wait until I can get my grill set up again at the new house. I am kind of hooked on some of these Food Channel cooking shows. I have a few ideas I want to try out, but I need my grill first.
We had grilled Cuban pork on skewers last night. Still practicing for the big blowout when Fidelito is finally, officially, muerto :-).
There's a grilled cod recipe I want to try. Made my mouth water watching it on TV.

Yum...
We’ve had cod from time to time, but we’re more likely to find good tuna or even swordfish here than cod.
Can't stand tuna fillet's for some reason. I like albacore from a can in things like Mac-n-Cheese or in tuna salad on wheat. For some reason, grilled/baked tuna fillets are just to "fishy" tasting for my to enjoy. I can eat a can of water packed tuna for lunch, but cook a fillet and I can't stand the smell of it.
Swordfish is mild tasting, but very “meaty,” a texture more like beef than fish. I don’t like canned tuna, but I like grilled steaks, if they’re cooked enough. I grew up eating bluefish and mackerel steaks with barbecue sauce, so “fishy” isn’t a problem for me!
Can you get fresh, unsalted cod?
Dad used to like, and Mom liked the ease of making, fish cakes out of canned mackerel.
Formed into patties, floured, and cooked in a skillet.
There was never a single instance in which she made too many. They were even good cold from the ‘fridge.
Meatered?
Just for grins, I Googled this Dr. Edson André Johnson.
Found another post on another forum ...
ANYONE INTERESTED IN ORNITHOPETERS(WING FLAPPING LIKE A IRD!) AIRCARFT AND OR FLYIN SUACERS .MAYBE A COMBINED LIGTHER THEN AIR TYPE FLYING SAUCER SHAPED CRAFT. NO JOKE! LET ME HEAR FROM YOU. THANKS! DR. EDSON ANDRE' JOHNSON D.D.ULC,HUNTINGTON BEACH,CALIFORNIA USA.I get the impression the divination he is allegedly a doctor of is that of dowsing rods.
If this thread runs out of steam, we could always consider "Ornithopeters", although after a four hour flight, it is recommended that you see a doctor, (not of divination).
Yeah, Viagra is the same way...
Flapping like a ird, Bob?
How are you? It turns out my mother is coming next Tuesday, not tomorrow. That will be better!
Fine as frog hair. I was helping my daughter study for an upcoming test.
She would find the vocabulary less confusing if she knew more Greek.
Vaguely, long time ago.
Short trip -- got in Sunday morning, spent the day trying to figure out how to get online (w/o the hotel firewall in the way) so I could find out whether next week's trip had been approved so I could book it (did so last night -- Monday night). Not a good thing when one is jetlagged.
Took some time to tour Munich in the middle of it all (excuse: looking for an Internet cafe -- didn't find any). Went and saw Dachau:
Downtown Munich (Marionsplatz and the Glockenspiel):
And ate at the Ratskeller:
Yesterday and today are meetings, and 24 hours from now I will be at the airport, waiting to go home.
Our tour next week will take us to the booming metropolis of Sumter, SC.
Now to go get ready for the day.
Spa:ter...
“She would find the vocabulary less confusing if she knew more Greek.”
Here’s just the book for you! Much to my surprise, its a reprint of one I used in Greek school when I was a kid.
Good morning, Munich!
Sumter, SC, is a charming place, too ... have some fried food!
Modern Greek, or ancient Greek?
