So, with gasolene prices bobbing up and down. And the economy also bobbing! When and what will it take to get rel action n Aternative energy?Nikola tesla(1856-1943) had the answer more then a 100 years ago! That of broadcasting wirelessly eletric power! He even set up a braodcasting tower for this at Wardecylle,Long Island(Now Shoreham, L.I.) But when he mentioned FREE ELECTRIOC POWER to hs financial backer the great Robber Baron J.P. Morga. Whos meatered eletric power intreste would have been ruined. The money was removed and Tesla went into a life long debt!To honor Dr. Tesla in 2005 and 2006 I organized the GLOBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY held every July 10th the birthdate anniversary of Dr tesla. To rembewr Tesla and promote ALTERNATIVE ENERGY AND FUELS,VeHICLES. See the Tesla memorial Society www.teslasociety.com And Pure Energy Systems A Community Built Alternative energy site www.Peswiki.comNikola Tesla/GloBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY. No!!!!! What is neeeded is REAL ACTIO NOW!!!! Perhaps at least a Day to rember Nikola tesla And PROMTING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY is one way to do this?
Good Morning.
Hopefully the last vestiges of winter were bustled out the door with the winds yesterday.
It was 30 here earlier, but supposed to be 70 this afternoon.
Now that's what I call CHANGE I can believe in.
The Atomic Clock says 54.9F outside right now....clear as a bell thanks to the winds the last couple of days.
Spent all weekend at the new house. Priming the bedrooms for paint, replaced a few electrical outlets, new front door, cleaning, cleaning, more cleaning...
Still have more cleaning, furnace/AC install, change out water heater, painting said bedrooms, fix garage door opener, buy/install new stove and dishwasher, move stuff out of storage, etc...
All needs to be done by a week from tomorrow and I still need to work a 40 hour work week...
Huh... I wonder if that last post could be considered my annual post? Or would it be this one seeing as how it’s a leap year?
You should go tankless for your water heater. More $ up front, but it will pay for itself shortly, especially in your climate. Unless you don’t have gas....
Good thing we have free electrioc power on this thread!
Got a gas 40 gal free. Was only used for a month before the house it was installed in was slated for demolition. Can’t beat Free. Kenmore Power Miser 6.
I need all that electrioc power for my computer farm.
Can’t argue with free.
What kind of computers are you growing?
Well, you can. But it makes you feel kind of silly.
I have my Opteron box that I will converting over for Zon to use. Her old machine will become the kids computer. She'll keep her laptop for official "work" stuff. The new one will be my typical Frankenstein fish conglomeration. Quad-core Phenom and a decent video card for the basics.
I was actually thinking of augmenting my standard water heater with a tankless—set the tank at minimal temp so the inlet temp to the tankless is consistent and plentiful. I think that would take care of the tankless’ biggest drawback-the inability to provide enough hot water with a large simultaneous demand.
Pricey just for an augment. We looked into having smaller units for each bathroom and one of under the kitchen sink. We’d need to own and operate them for 35 years to break even.
I didn’t understand a word of that, but I’m sure they’ll be delicious.
Yep. Especially if they are sliced thin and fried up with butter and garlic.
That’s true of almost any food or beeber-like product.
I think a set of bag pipes sliced thin and fried with butter and garlic would still taste like a bagpipe...
