So, with gasolene prices bobbing up and down. And the economy also bobbing! When and what will it take to get rel action n Aternative energy?Nikola tesla(1856-1943) had the answer more then a 100 years ago! That of broadcasting wirelessly eletric power! He even set up a braodcasting tower for this at Wardecylle,Long Island(Now Shoreham, L.I.) But when he mentioned FREE ELECTRIOC POWER to hs financial backer the great Robber Baron J.P. Morga. Whos meatered eletric power intreste would have been ruined. The money was removed and Tesla went into a life long debt!To honor Dr. Tesla in 2005 and 2006 I organized the GLOBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY held every July 10th the birthdate anniversary of Dr tesla. To rembewr Tesla and promote ALTERNATIVE ENERGY AND FUELS,VeHICLES. See the Tesla memorial Society www.teslasociety.com And Pure Energy Systems A Community Built Alternative energy site www.Peswiki.comNikola Tesla/GloBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY. No!!!!! What is neeeded is REAL ACTIO NOW!!!! Perhaps at least a Day to rember Nikola tesla And PROMTING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY is one way to do this?
With a name like Schrödinger, you’d think promptness would be genetic.
Good morning! Everyone is improving today, at least in health. The attitude towards getting up in the dark hasn’t improved!
Things are always iffy with that guy.
I don’t trust people who abuse catz. There will be a long, miserable afterlife cleaning sandboxes for him!
To be fair, he was only abusive to hypothetical cats.
Half-heartedly.
Well, it still shows a dubious orientation. He could have been hypothetically abusive to cockroaches or grackles.
As far as I’m concerned, he could have been hypothetically abusuve to both groups...cockroaches AND grackles!
Morning, all...
Hi! 48 drizzly degrees of Global Warming, here. I’m not leaving the house until I have to, and when I do, I’ll take along a thermos of hyperbolic rodomontade.
Morning! How are you and the Tax-Chickadees doing this morning? And DP, as well...
I am greatly improved from yesterday. DP seems to have avoided the whatever-infection. The little girls have runny noses. James and Pat are crying about something.
Yoiks! I’m glad the whatever-infection didn’t inhabit you and DP for long. It sucks to feel really bad and still have to be a Mom!
We’ve got 50 today, and right now, there is no wind. Still, I’m not going out today.
I think Elen brought us this crud when she went to camp with the Cub Scouts. At least it seems to be passing, although I’ll give Vlad the croup medicine until tomorrow.
James was crying because I wasn’t turning on his favorite movie, “There Goes a Train.” Pat was crying because, “Bill insists on causing me distress!” He’s such a twink. I wish all the others would just stop taking to him!
BAC in the office cave today...
At least you’re not on the Road to Morocco or some other weird place :-).
Your kids are truly priceless!
My kids didn’t get sick often, but when they did, they were down for the count. They’re still that way.
Anoreth and I went through a cycle of recurrent strep infections a few years ago, before we moved from Tulsa, but other than that, we usually recover quickly from things, if we get sick at all.
It helps that we’re not exposed to as many illness as most. Also, when one of the kids is sick, they can go to bed for as long as it takes to recover. No rush to get them back to school because they’re falling behind, or it’s interfering with work.
Homeschooling is good for everyone involved.
Although CA has outlawed it. Of course. Idiots.
The California court decision is being appealed, so it’s currently business-as-usual for Calif. homeschoolers. (Although I’d be looking for a quick way out of the state, if I were they - writing on the wall and all that.)
It breaks my heart when I hear other parents talk about how their children are always sick. “And as soon as they go back to school, they get sick again!” Well, yes. As soon as a child has a normal temperature and stops throwing up, it’s back to school, even if he’s still contagious, his immune system is depressed, and he’s not strong enough for a 10-hour-day without rest. But the parents have to get back to work, and the children’s grades are reduced for absences, even if they learn the material.
