I remain of the opinion that my parents generation, which brought us through the Great Depression, WWII and the Cold War, was the greatest generation.

I’ll second that opinion - the WWII generation was amazing. However, they didn’t raise the brightest kids. The following generation had it too easy and screwed up (the hippies, free love, etc).

The best generation? Simple. 1770s Americans. Without them, there would be no America.

Our parents’ generation, a close second!
