He was tenacious and patient when making his case for an issue. Yep. In those days you really had to come with facts and substance if you didn't want to be laughed off the forum. Growth is good, but sadly with more members I find there to be less serious posts.

I am glad I am not the only one who misses the old days of debating an issue with serious intent. Now it seems the forum is for the (please forgive me and hand me the flame retardant suit) home schoolers and those that only read the church bulletin ( I read my church bulletin too). It seems like now we just split hairs with each other over who is more conservative, when back in the day we had to argue for our side. I learned so much more back then about what I thought about the issues as I had to form an argument that would hold up against an worthy ideological opponent. Not that I would post my views but I read the various opinions and would form my own.
