Powerball numbers?
Sounds like a good theory.
Here’s some more:
Sun has approached Widmore. She wants to go back to the island and back in time and prevent the death of her husband.
John isn’t dead. A ‘future’ John died and Ben sent the body to Australia in an effort to induce Jack to get ‘what’s her name’ back to the island by any means.
Ben may not really be a bad guy. As a time traveler he can kill someone ... go back to the past and resurrect them by bringing their past self into the present. He IS willing to do almost anything to stop Widmore. Look to see Ben’s daughter alive in future episodes.
Ben always has a plan because he knows what is going to happen before it happens.
As to the island being previously moved: Ben had to blast a hole through solid rock by loading up the chamber with metal objects. If the island was moved previously wouldn’t there have been access to the main control already?

At the beginning of the episode where Ben recruits Sayid, Ben is in the desert wearing the coat he was wearing while turning the frozen wheel. Also in that episode, when Ben makes it out of the desert, he asks a hotel clerk what year it is.
OK he was teleported but Still don’t think he has a teleportation device. It’s an uncontrolled side effect of the time shifting device. He was shot to the earth’s antipode of the island’s anti-matter or perhaps to the next closest location of a lump of antimatter.
Darn, I need to find the synopsis of this episode.
A Time Traveller LOST in the Sahara Desert
Ben teleports to the Sahara Desert. He is wearing a Dharma Initiative jacket and retches, so whatever the method of travelling through time and space, it affects one. He had been wounded on the arm.
When locals find him, Ben addresses them in English, then Arabic, then Turkish. It seems he is not 100% certain where he is yet. He clearly didn't know what sort of weather to dress for. He overpowers them and rides off on their horse.
Actually, the teleportation threw me for a loop. I believed from the episode where Desmond got unstuck in time, that the time-travel in Lost was only a consciousness time-travel, with no matter moving. I also had a theory that two instances of the same person could not exist at the same time in Lost's time-travel until I saw this.
On a side note the Orchid intro talks about the "Casimir Effect", which has little to do with time travel except tangentially (from Wikipedia):
Casimir effect and wormholes
Exotic matter with negative energy density is required to stabilize a wormhole.[15] Morris, Thorne and Yurtsever[16] pointed out that the quantum mechanics of the Casimir effect can be used to produce a locally mass-negative region of space-time, and suggested that negative effect could be used to stabilize a wormhole to allow faster than light travel. This was used in the novel Warp Speed by Travis S. Taylor.
Are you going to do a Season 6 forum?
