*Heard from the depths of the Shao-Lin Temple, a role reversal*

Master: What is the sound of one hand clapping?

Pupil (sounding Georgian): Ah don't know, must be a powerful SEC faght song, ya know for thayt powrful conference of ourn.

Master: Can you hear the sound of many waters, large lake waters?

Pupil: All ah mostly hear is the sound of bingo numbers!

Master: But then, how can life be so unfair to your conference?

Pupil: Well, ah know the SEC to be the greatest conference ever, never losing to nobody. That's fayer.

Master: What are the chances of an SEC team ever beating Michigan?

Pupil: Now daym, thayt's an unfayer question! Everone knows that's only an 18% possibility! Goldurnit, Wha cayn't ah be the mayster aniway?

Master: What is the sound of the fight song you so detest?

Pupil: No, no....not thayt agin, ah cayn't stand that, it's so unfayer!

Master: The mystery of life is wafting through the airwaves on that song.

Pupil: Well hot daym mayster, you fanally revealed the truth of laf to me. Ah'll never need an early bird special agin!

*Screeching and gnashing of teeth of pupil, alias catpoopy, heard far and wide as the sound of "Hail to the Victors" wafts through the temple*

Master's afterword: 11 and 2 baby......and it's only going to get worse....

So much effort. So little result. You were more entertaining when whining for a do-over.

Recommendation: Perhaps "big" bloop might actually win the "big" 10 if it dressed its coach in a cute little sleeveless sweater and coated those goofy helmets with glitter. It works for Ohio State ...

If you have Irish friends and you’re having a bit of a challenge understanding their ways, this little story might help.

How to get to Heaven from Ireland

I was testing children in my Dublin Sunday school class to see if they understood the concept of getting to heaven.

I asked them, ‘If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, would that get me into heaven?’

‘NO!’ the children answered.

‘If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the garden, and kept everything tidy, would that get me into heaven?’

Again, the answer was ‘NO!’ By now I was starting to smile.

Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave sweets to all the children, and loved my husband, would that get me into heaven?’

Again, they all answered ‘NO!’.

I was just bursting with pride for them.

I continued, ‘ Then how can I get into heaven?’

A six year-old boy shouted out:

” YUV GOTTA BE FOOKN’ DEAD....”

Ah yes, I think I finally understand your growing need for anger management.......considering after your "Rambling Wreck" showed itself to be just that once again.........like that's ever changed.....

I guess if I had such huge losers for my home state football teams as you I would deem it necessary to wait to see who might be worthy of rooting for in other schools(especially after the championship game was done) as well.

Unfortunately, the anger issue seems to have no bounds, I guess projecting your sad loss of good teams from your home state is compounded by your self proclaimed "paradise" of blue hairs, flatness, and eternal despair of ever escaping.

Your "rambling wreck" put on such a disappointing performance once again, why they looked like an SEC team trying to beat Michigan.....

11 and 2 baby.......despair......

It doesn't get any bigger than the "big" 10's "big" bloop playing in the "big" house. Are you people unable to master the use of adjectives that have more than one syllable?

Helpful hint: You might have someone coach you on the use of adjectives such as "inept," "bumbling" and "over-rated." They will come in handy when "big" bloop meets its next Appalachian State. Maybe this week against perennial powerhouse Eastern Michigan. Be afraid ...

Heh. Too bad about that 11 and 2 stat, it must just be a terrible irritant in your life, much like the flat ugliness you endure visually on a minute to minute basis.........

:-)

I've decided the anger management issue in your inner being must come to and end, of course, for the sake of your mental health. I know the perennial blooming of hope in the state of Georgia being dashed year after year must get to you, but, there is true hope on the way.

I think Miss Darlin should hold a raffle (perhaps the bluehairs will help here), or maybe a bingo game to aid in getting professional help. You could do significant deep breathing exercises, or some kind of mantra (early bird repeated over multiple times will do) every time one of the SEC teams gets whupped by plays Michigan. Or doing special yoga positions anytime Michigan wins a game (or a Georgia team plays badly....which is often) might help for that matter.

I will hereby donate the first dollar towards this all important endeavor.

... the perennial blooming of hope in the state of Georgia being dashed year after year must get to you ....

A great State, one of several southern States favored by Michigan retirees who finally save enough of their welfare checks to escape the drive-bys, rust and decay of "big" blooperland.

While I do not live in Georgia, it is worth noting that the Bulldogs are rated ahead of "big" bloop in both major polls despite a 2-1 record as compared with bloop's 3-0. I guess there is something to be said for playing strong opponents.

It must also be noted that 3 of the nation's top 4 and 4 of the top 7 teams this week are in the SEC. Only State Pen Penn State (which is the 11th team in the math challenged "big" 10) from "big" bloop's glitter hatted conference ranks in the top 10. Of course, you "big" blooper fans can always boast, "We're Number 23 in the AP Poll" (or even # 22 according to USA Today). Congratulations.

ps--another glitter hatted "big" 10 team spotted (Minnesota), losing to California. Maybe "big" bloop should copy this "big" 10 trend. At least "big" bloop's helmets would shine even when the team didn't.

*Yawns*

Blah, blah, blah.......polls......... blah, blah, blah.......Georgia is # 1 right? I read a poll that said so...............:-)

When your great conference actually wins one against us, I'll give you a hearty congratulations and another dollar towards your anger management fund.

11 and 2 must be a terrible burden to bear....

Well Lameshark, it seems that everyone is wrong but you. But that’s okay. I realize that you still haven’t recovered from the “do-over” season. Eating so much crow will do that. I suspect you’ll have a lot more to consume once this season is over. :>)

Heh.

No crow here, the last time(s) I remember an SEC team playing UM, the crow feathers resided (for the record, seemingly forever) in the mouth of a certain bluehaired beach bunny, anger management eggspert aka catpoopy. Tsk, tsk, it's so unfair that keeps happening isn't it? 11 and 2.

As to knowing all, that's not my thing, although it is a fact that the polls have rarely been correct predicting a season for anyone, right? Perhaps you could show me the last few years' early season polls again to show me wrong.......

The other fact I do know is that your great conference appears incapable of beating UM. *Cough, cough* 11 and 2.........an inconvenenient truth......

Guess I'll have to put another dollar towards your anger management fund.

:-)

... the polls have rarely been correct....

I agree! To rank Michigan # 22 is insane. Maybe it was a misprint and the Wolvereenies' (aka "big" bloop) rank is actually # 222.

BCS/BCS/BCS

*Using catpoopy poll logic*

Since none of your conference teams can ever beat them, they should obviously be vaulted to #1.......

11 and 2. Get the waaaahmbulance for pup and bring him to an early bird special........

hmmmm, I didn't really notice anger in catpuppy's posts unlike when this little baby reacts to an irritating noise assaulting its ears. What is that annoying song?

Excellent find, Darlin'. Somehow I had pictured Lameshark as being just a little older than that when he cried for a "do-over" and claimed that Michigan and Ohio State were suitable entries into the BCS Championship Game. Nevertheless, it sounds just like him so I believe it is.

I can certainly understand why he prefers "Mary Had A Little Lamb" to the Michigan fight song. While the latter always takes Lamey back to sad memories of boasts he made and games "big" bloop lost, the former reminds him of the teeny little opponents his Michigan teams seem to prefer and occasionally are even capable of beating.

eastern michigan, central michigan, northern michigan, southern michigan, upper michigan, lower michigan, michigan school of license plate manufacture, michigan institute for feminist studies ... the possibilities are endless.

Yes, liking one of the best fight songs ever is not a problem to me. Unlike the embarrassing ones from Vandy or LSU, people actually take up and notice that one. I'd comment on those that pup likes, but will have to wait until the championship game is over to discover which one that is this year.......

as he quietly distances himself from his horrid Georgia teams

one of the best fight songs ever

"Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
The champions of the West!"

Currently that is looking to be absolutely true--except for Texas, California, Boise State, Oklahoma, USC, Ohio State, TCU, Oklahoma State, Houston, Brigham Young and Kansas--at least according to the polls which, as you have noted, do not mean anything to true fans of Michican't.

Yeah, and Georgia is still # 1 because of last year's poll..........moron.....

But then, the Georgia Tech fight song consists of getting drunk and then losing and swearing at Georgia.......great fight song pup......

Let's make a Floriduh song about ugly terrain, bingo, bluehairs, and early bird specials......and how you still can't beat UM! Almost as depressing as the Tech song.........

Soooo, Mr poll. How did Ole Miss get a #4 ranking in a poll when they had played no one? Not one team in the top hundred.

These guys didn't even look like a top twenty team, yet they're #4? Glad you trust those polls..........they're so accurate.........

Not one team in the top hundred

So ... the polls that rank SEC teams highly and "big" 10 teams somewhat lower are invalid except when they don't rank Ole Miss opponents in the top 100.

Genius.
