That's what we did. We've (read *I've*) been talking about rearranging the furniture as a catalyst for cleaning and de-cluttering, but the room really works the best exactly the way it is. So we just pulled everything to the center, cleaned dust bunnies, rearranged the pictures on the wall and put it back. At least on two walls. The other two still need done... and they're the worst... containing our desks.
OK - so it still looks cluttered to the untrained eye, but that's as organized as a bunch of saddles and pads and bridles gets. I still think the rack could be cut two feet shorter. What would be cool would be a tall armoir (sp?) thing with doors that could hide some of the frap. See the new Hairy Dog Hunt club sign Ramius got me? ;~)
We also moved the bear so I could put my Estuaries and Streams posters up. The three posters, Wetlands, Estuaries and Streams are really neat in a tree hugger sort of way. They're limited edition prints that have all the local wildlife identified on them. We should have them framed too.
Someday maybe we'll get more furniture so there's actually someplace for US to sit.
FYI if you wanted to get ambitious...Jo-Ann’s frames are all at least 50% off right now. I got a frame for a painting I got at Goodwill last week.
It’s a rather nice painting. A lighthouse scene, which I know have been done to death, but it’s an interesting one with a storm rolling in and a rough sea.
I dunno where I’ll put it, but I couldn’t *not* buy it. It was two-fifty.
We still need art over the couch. I think the plan is still for me to paint something, so it may never happen.
I had HGTV on most of the day and told the wife I’m ready to do the kitchen. We’ve never painted since we had the ceiling repaired and the floor put in. We still want to get some cabinet and counter work done. And today was a weird day because I was thinking “red.” That’s not a good thing.
But for now, I’m goin’ to bed.
‘nite
Steve would love that Wetlands print!
He did his whole thesis about wetlands!
Pups say, "Ha ha, that's what you think!" ;)
