One of ‘em was claiming he felt bad when his kid was playing with another boy from a stay-at-home-mother sort of place, because the other kid just didn’t know how to interact with others.

Oh like there are never any reclusive kids in daycare.

Don't even get me started about the kids that like to bite...

Yeah...it really bothers me when “those people” are lumped together, whoever they might be. Admittedly, a lot of homeschoolers do it to public school kids, too. That’s not right, either. The reality is that people are individuals, with individual personalities and faults and foibles.

I’m kind of socially awkward. I know this. But you know what? I went to public school for awhile before I was homeschooled, and I was one of the kids that played quietly with one or two others in a corner rather than one of the louder kids that usually had a group of followers. Homeschooling didn’t make me the way I am. But put me next to my most outgoing brother who will talk to anyone about anything and who *is* usually the center of a group, and they’ll say he “overcame” being homeschooled, and I didn’t. As if we couldn’t possibly naturally have different personalities.

A lot of people see what they want to see. Especially when to see anything else bothers their conscience a bit.

OK, so that rant didn’t really have much to do with anything...
