When I work all night, I don’t allow myself to drink any coffee in the morning, I take a good shower, I eat a reasonably good (not too light, not too heavy) breakfast like an egg taco and I take a Benadryl.
My bedroom is darkened with cardboard, because I worked so many night shifts with agency (before I went evening shifts at the hospital.) I turn on a 20 inch fan on low. Steve makes sure my bed is just right (very smooth and folded down).
I usually aim for 8am as bed time and either one or two as get up time. Joshua turns on the coffee pot, then comes in at the appropriate time and softly wakes me up...usually I wake up to find him sofly rubbing my face...something he’s done since he was born. He’ll usually stay there and rub my face, talking to me until the coffee pot gurgles that it’s done.
Then I get up. I found this routine helps me get back to sleep the next night.
Heh...re: your tagline...we need ta find the Shootmoot picture of you for your “get back stare”. ;-)
