Now, with that all said, maybe we ought to take a look at the whole bizness of the primaries. I don’t believe that any other civilized country has anything approaching the silliness of a primary - but then no other country has a duopoly as a fact of life.
I kinda like a parliamentary style system in which (as the founding fathers first proposed) the Speaker of the House is the leader of the nation (as you would find in Canada and Great Britain); they forego the antics of Presidential campaigns.
It would enable us to kick the bums out on a more frequent basis.
