ANYONE IN NW NEW MEXICO . . .

LOOK AT THE FULL MOON . . .

AT ABOUT THE 2:00 position relative to the moon . . .

is a brightly lit object of some sort . . .

Couldn't’t see it without binoculars but a friend at work could . . .

Through the binoculars . . . still hard to tell what it is . . . but brightly lit . . . slightly yellowish light . . . seems to have an upper part and a smaller lower part NOT a balloon

Would love for someone with a telescope to look at it and let us know what it is.

I saw that this evening as Mrs. Lurkin and I were leaving a restaurant.

I think it is the planet Mercury or a major star. When we were visiting Griffith Observatory the other day we overheard some people talking about an upcoming planetary conjunction. This is probably it.

LOOK AT THE FULL MOON . . .

I saw that last night also, took two digitals don’t know how they look, will check out later, first photo was hand held, second I rested the camera on the gas grill.

Mrs. LVD got my attention, she said the moon is shining so bright that the laundry room is lit up. I stepped into the room and looked at the moon, saw what I thought was a star at the 4 o’clock position, went out side to confirm the light was not a reflection of the glass, saw the object went to get the camera took the photos, went back in to get the 16 x 60 binoculars, again looked but just briefly. Awful bright for a star, especially with a full moon, interesting! Anyone confirm what it was??
