I wish you guys to be well, warm and safe. I have been in a few blizzards where the major thoroughfares on Long Island have become parking lots with many abandoned vehicles. Although it may be very pretty and serene, I do not envy the person that has to shovel that crap off the driveway and sidewalk.
The Blizzard of ‘78 was a beaut. Turned Route 128 into a parking lot and it took some people the better part of a week to get home. That was one time when my loved ones and I were blessed and we all got home before the worst.
Coming on a weekend, all we have to do for tonight’s storm is concern ourselves with snow removal at home, and the big self-propelled snowblower will make small work of it.
The further north you go, the more amazing the snow equipment is - and bigger.
