Showing an old sailor that sort of thing can lead to a relapse, sudden desire to go on an uninhibited ‘liberty call’, where liberties are sure to be taken, and he’ll indulge in conduct unbecoming a sober responsible sort, and he’ll likely even kiss her! Have you no mercy?
