She violated a moral law. A bunch of them. Bore false witness, for starters.
Just because there is not a law on point to punish the adults who committed these despicable acts does not mean you shrug your shoulders and go about your business. First you let the system work, then, if it fails...well, let’s just say you want me on your jury. Do not rely on the government to take care of you and your family under any circumstances.
The only reason not to act would be if you have other children to raise, but I did not see mention of them. But, I can certainly hold a grudge until they are on their own. Meanwhile, I’d use those years to legally transfer assets out of my name so that I’d be judgment proof. I’m patient and some crimes have no statute of limitations.
Alternatively, the article mentioned some “helpful” friends and family members. Perhaps the parents get an anonymous letter in the mail to go to the police station at a certain time...and so they do. Who knows what might happen while the parents are innocently at the station turning over the letter to detectives...establishing their alibi.
And, I won’t argue with anyone who says my comments are wrong, immoral, un-Christian, anything you want to call me, I’ll agree. My only response...don’t mess with my children.
