Those adults who created the account are really sick. I also feel really sorry for the other teenage girl, who wrote one of the messages - she was told it was OK, but now she’ll have to live the realisation that she was lied to and because of that she was involved in causing the suicide of another girl.
I hate myspace. I used to have an account, but I don’t remember whether or not I deleted it. However, I do remember that I stopped using it because of all the stupid drama that was going on (ie, OMG I’m SOOO depressed because nobody’s said anything about my new picture! ahhh, I’m going to post some nasty and untrue he-said-she-said stuff to get more attention because the virtual world isn’t focused on me right now!), a few major technical issues that annoyed me to no end, and the now inescapable spam.
Standing Ovation!!!
I have both Myspace and a Facebook pages. They are very handy for checking up on my twenty-something kids, as well as my 16 year old niece and other teens in the community I’m concerned about. But these all must be pretty good kids because I haven’t witnessed any of this kind of drama.
Of course I have to maintain a low profile to maintain my cover.
