Oh, the decidin’s been done. It’s only a question of who files the paperwork first. I have to get home before too long and get a short synopsis this past year’s events to my lawyer.

Actually, you’d be better off to sleep (with the help of Benedryl) and work on it in the morning, than to try and do it tonight.
Your lawyer won’t be available till tomorrow, anyway, so get a good night’s sleep and give it heck when you have your coffee in the morning!
It doesn’t matter who files the paperwork first. If you’re the Plaintiff or the Defendant, you need a paper trail that points the finger at your ex-partner. If he has reneged on his part of it, you have him cold.
He can THINK he’s got the upper hand, but the paperwork will tell the judge all s/he has to know to decide in your favor.
