Like I said, I've lived here all my life. What are some other Michigan staples that other states lack? Besides Canadian governors, I mean.
Vernor's -- a couple of years ago my wife surprised me by bringing home a six-pack of Vernor's. The "local" (it's 5 miles away, but still the nearest) supermarket carries it now (not much, though). It had been over 3 decades since I'd last had a Vernor's.
Good apples. Out here they're all Washington or New Zealand apples. And they're lousy.
Springtime (okay, not a staple). Seattle has the world's best summers, but Michigan the best springtime.
