Good morning!
Winter officially arrives next Saturday. However, another major storm is poised to coat Ottawa, eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Arnold Ashton tells CFRA News that two to four centimetres of snow are expected to fall by Sunday morning. 30 to 40 centimetres will follow in the afternoon. Then an additional 10 to 15 centimetres will hit the ground before Monday morning.
In total, the region may see 60 centimetres of fresh snow.
Ashton says the city will most certainly break a record for snowfall in a 24-hour period.
To compound poor driving conditions forecasted in the area Sunday, winds are set to fluctuate. Gusts could drop visibility to zero.
25 cm = 10 inches.
Yikes!
YOIKS!!!
I don’t want to see what global warming can do to an otherwise sane (?) population.
It’s still only 35 here.
Heck, we can exceed that here, when the conditions are right. A nor'easter, with thunder.
Not that we have any better luck dealing with it. We just close everything, and wait.
