I hope your nails look wonderful and you’re well enough for your Pajama Party!
We had a great time at the party last night. The youth group leader (nice man, originally from Iran) told me how great he thinks Anoreth is. Elen got to play “Santa’s elf,” which was extremely thrilling. Several old people mentioned that they were amazed that all three little boys waited in their chairs until we brought them their food. And Sally finished an activity for a Girl Scouts badge that involved interviewing women of different ages.
Then Anoreth and I went back to participate in a prayer vigil from 10-11. Even with the nap, I had a hard time staying awake, but I managed. (Not sure Anoreth did, but at least she didn’t snore or fall off the chair. ;-).
Warm again today - 55 already. Time to feed the catz!
My daughter always does an excellent job on my nails. It also gives us time to “bond,” which was quite lacking in her younger years. (No fault of ours.)
I’m going to keep a low profile for the week to try to make sure I have enough energy to get me through Friday night. I’m crossing my fingers.
It sounds as if the party was well worth going to! I’m glad the kids benefited so much. It’s always good to see lessons that are so tangible and immediate.
It’s been a long time since I did a prayer vigil. Really long.
