That answers where that went...
I guess we had a cat burglar.
At least they are getting easier to spot.
The world needs more leopards?
Good morning! Another day with catz!
Later this morning, we’re going to see the corn snake.
Aren’t those technically called “rosettes”?
I’m SO sorry! If I had know you were coming, I’d have tried to stay here!
Yesterday was not a good day for me, so I left without much notice to anyone. (You’ve been missed!)
(And that would be “La Face-A!”)
How are you? 40 and drizzling here. Ugh. I told Anoreth to lower the temperature 10 degrees and make it snow.
I’m awake, after not such a good night, and (thankfully) no plans for the day.
Overcast, rain in the offing, 45 degrees, snow in the mountains. :o])
I just checked outside, and we have had some rain over the night. The next rain is “scheduled” for Friday, but it’s supposed to be overcast and ugly for the next four or five days.
BUT! It puts snow in the mountains around us, and in southern Utah, which means it will eventually find its way to Lake Mead. Which is GOOD!
Sun’s out now, here, and the temperature is rising. I’ll be putting people to bed for nap soon. Hopefully that will include me - I seem to have caught a cold from Der Prinz.
The snake was cute; we’ll take him (or her), unless DP changes his mind when we discuss the location. We can pick it up on Saturday. The person selling it has a boa constrictor, too, but she said it was already sold. Not that anyone except Tom wanted a 40-lb. boa!
Well, I hope for Tom’s sake that the snake isn’t vetoed.
The skies are starting to clear, here, but it won’t last long. I still won’t go anywhere until tomorrow. :o]
About the only place I have to go is to the PO, and the crowds there are stupid, and that should hurt so they don’t do it again!
We drove past the P.O. coming home from the snake. It was mobbed!
This is a small PO. The main one down by McCarran is a total zoo. They usually only have three clerks here, but these last two weeks, all six windows are open.
The last time I was there was just to get stamps. The machine in the lobby was out of them, so I had to wait in line. Two clerks. I stood there for 30 minutes for my 30 second turn...
(Then I couldn’t figure out why my back was hurting me so badly the rest of the week...NOT!)
Been up for (too many) hours, but am getting a number of little projects done. Have to go into the office though and file my expense report -- two more charges, I think the last ones, finally showed up on the company card.
Good to see you up and around!
I’ve done almost all I’m going to do today. I’m just going to sit back and ignore the frantic scurrying of Christmas shoppers.
Where I live, the most exciting thing we see is when the school zone crossing lights are turned off for traffic to resume it’s 35 mph speeding. ;o]
Then I went to do the expense report, but found I'm still one charge short. And didn't stop to think that if I had FAXed my receipts while there, I could have submitted it all from home when the last charge arrived.
Then I went and set up my first new PC (ca 1996) to try to run a Windows-clone OS on it (it has Win98), and it won't boot from the CD-ROM. Arrrgh!!!!
Cheer up! We get to meet up in October! That should keep you smiling! (I certainly hope you can bring LoM with you. That would be so much fun!)
Last time I was in Las Vegas was 25 years ago. I wonder if anything has changed? *\;-) (I wouldn't know it if it had, though.)
