It’s actually 50 degrees outside, but I have a blanket and a heater. I’ve had enough hot cocoa for the day. But I suspect I’ll be looking forward to my warm bed tonight!

Don’t you have your love to keep you warm? How about your dogs and cats?

I called my aunt this afternoon, to wish her a happy 96th birthday.

She was born in 1911.

She is still as smart as a whip.

Sounds like you've got a bit of a mess underway there.

Outside it looks like iot's going to snow, and LoM says it feels like it too, but it's a bit too warm. Debating... yah, I think I might go throw some lights on the big (10 foot or more) rhody by the drive entrance. Need some color out there..

"Why is your den cold, Bob?
No fireplace?"

The den has a door connecting it to the living room, and a sliding door to the master bedroom. It's on a corner of the house, and it's a bit cool.

I don't want to waste heat just to keep me more comfortable. I can wrap up.

As to the dogs, they join us at bedtime. Every night is a three-dog night.

Well, I have a nice furry/suede throw, and that’s always good for snuggling by myself. My apartment is a “corner,” too. If it was the next one in, my furnace wouldn’t have to work so hard.

*sigh*

Evening, folks. We were a reasonable success at the Spanish Mass. Der Prinz got confused on the communion song; he doesn’t read Spanish, so he couldn’t figure out where we were! We’ll practice it more before the next try, and we also hope to have Bill on drums.

I need to go call the lady about the corn snake now :=).

I have often said that the ideal “rowhouse” is one between two famielies with young children.

Make sure your windows are really well-insulated and turn down your thermostat. Let their heat percolate through your walls.

Does that mean DP didn’t have fun, and that the corn snake is soon to take up residence in the TC/DP household?

I am in the coldest corner of my house too.

Is it a den with shelves of books?

I had an apartment once that was between two others, had one behind it, and was under one, so my heating/cooling bills were negligible.

I have a tendency to drop the thermostat in the winter, and bundle up, then raise the thernostat in the summer and strip off as much as possible. Until I get chillled....

Done now. Not a lot, but will add some color out there. And be a surprise for LoM when she wakes up from her nap.

It was dry out there, though the wind portends rain. (This being Seattle, of course, anything but rain portends rain, and sometimes rain does too.)

"Is it a den with shelves of books?"

Well, of course. But only a half-dozen or so are ones I've written.
