7 degrees. It is supposed to hit 24 today. Then again, it was supposed to do that every day for the last week now...

Morning, ganag!

I slept in! ERK! The clock blinked “0715” at me when I looked at it!

Now I have to type reeeely fast to get the days’ goal reached. *sigh*

We have snow down to 3500’. Here, it’s 44 degs, but I’m sure in the Spring Mountains, it’s probably somewhere in the roaring twenties.

Maybe the weather achors in your area should move away. It sounds like the weather isn’t agreeing with them.

Made it to Chino in one piece. Didn’t get back until late last night, and the rental yard was closed. Had to return the truck, and then walk all the way home to get mine. Don’t mind the walk...only about 3 miles. One stretch goes right next to the 5 freeway next to some railroad tracks—I get an unobstructed view of the snow covered mountains. Pretty Cool (pun intended).

Now doing clean up work and on my way back out to Chino...the electrician is already there. I should have all my machines running by the end of the day. The next 2 days will be spent sorting, storing, or throwing away excess stuff. FUN!

I know how that sorting, storing, tossing thing goes. The last time I did it, I swore I’d do it BEFORE I moved. HAH!

Don’t work too hard, rottie! And take care of you. Will you be running the shop alone?

It’s so cold in the US.
I’m glad I live in Canada.

We are at a balmy 23.

No...I'm moved in with a real good buddy...he has some machines and plenty of floor space. I'll be able to work off the rent by helping him with his stuff whilst running my own jobs on the side. It's a little cramped, but we are going to ebay some equipment off and get rid of anything that is duplicative.

It's actually going to work out for the better for me.

And with that, I'm on the road to Chino again.

Later!

Would that be 17 ABOVE?

*shiver* It will get that cold here, if we get the right storm system. In the meantime, you can have my share. ;o]

For now, yeah. It’ll hit -17 easy enough. We normally get our coldest weather each year around the last week or two of January.

It’s so early this year.

Our bay usually freezes over around Christmas time, but there is already an ice shack on it, so the ice must be a foot thick by now, 2 feet of snow on the ground, nights getting to 5 degrees.
This is January/February weather.

Yep. January or February are typically the coldest where I grew up, so I know what it’s like to freeze the barnacles off the dinghy.

We had “lake effect” snow, too, and lots of fog in the winter. I don’t miss that at all.

And I don’t envy anyone who has to endure it. *HUG*

We have two fires going, so bring your blankie, and warm up by one of them.
