FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. -- A father wants investigators to pursue fraud and larceny charges against a Panhandle strip club after his son ran up a $53,000 bill in a single night while celebrating his college graduation.
Joe Salter, 52, of Mary Esther, told investigators Club 10 employees took advantage of his 24-year-old son, Tommy. The younger Salter was at the club Aug. 18 to celebrate his graduation from Georgia Tech.

Given his age & his newfound financial state, I'm sure that little Tommy qualifies for the Democrat's S-CHIP program at this very moment.
the father should sue Georgia Tech for a refund. and a 24 yr old is not a kid.
Poor kid!....tough s#@%!
You are wrong, the kid was screwed. But he sure is a dunce, 24 years old, how many years did it take you to get that four year degree.
But dad!, her boobs were so big!
True ... no matter your age, no matter your net worth.
It's probably cheaper than a marriage and divorce would've been.
Uh, what happened to the cake and ice cream routine at your folks house to celebrate your graduation? Ok, I am very old.... that money could have been a down payment on a house.
You are correct in say that the kid was screwed if you mean the party doing the screwing was in fact the university giving him a degree.
My Dad would have kicked the 53 grand out of my arse had I pulled something like this. Then would have made me get 4 jobs to pay back for my stupidity....
Gotta be careful when you drunkenly proclaim: "Bring out a round of your BEST champagne for all my friends here!"
LOL!
That's awfully expensive champagne. But I don't really think that it becomes the staff's responsibility to see that a customer stays within budget. Perhaps $600 parties at strip clubs aren't the best way to celebrate a college graduation? I'm thinking in terms of a nice watch here...
Sounds like money that was better spent than his student loans...
Looks to me as if his dad is the one that needs the education. ..like parenting 101.
Fails on a logical fallacy. Education is not a cure for stupidity.
Immanuel Kant, 1781
wah wah wah!
after four years of “higher” ed, he still has the brain of an amoeba (and a none too bright one at that), and he runs up the bill, but SOMEBODY ELSE must pay for it!
wah wah wah!
you just know this kid’s a democrat
It certainly isn’t unknown for employees in these clubs to identify a sucker and lace his drinks with chloral hydrate or some similar drug. The mark can become very suggestible and will sign just about anything. The fraudsters tend to pick the type of law-abiding person who doesn’t have much experience with these practices and is unlikely to retaliate physically.
Well, at least he’s continuing his education albeit in a rather expensive manner.
