Kid? Poor Tommy is 24.Given his age & his newfound financial state, I'm sure that little Tommy qualifies for the Democrat's S-CHIP program at this very moment.

the father should sue Georgia Tech for a refund. and a 24 yr old is not a kid.

took advantage of his 24-year-old son, Tommy You are wrong, the kid was screwed. But he sure is a dunce, 24 years old, how many years did it take you to get that four year degree.

Looks like the kid needs more education. It's probably cheaper than a marriage and divorce would've been.

Uh, what happened to the cake and ice cream routine at your folks house to celebrate your graduation? Ok, I am very old.... that money could have been a down payment on a house.

You are correct in say that the kid was screwed if you mean the party doing the screwing was in fact the university giving him a degree.

Kid? Poor Tommy is 24. The reason hes still an immature loser is that daddy is still bailing his sorry ass out.
My Dad would have kicked the 53 grand out of my arse had I pulled something like this. Then would have made me get 4 jobs to pay back for my stupidity....

It was the $2000 bottles of champagne that got him.Gotta be careful when you drunkenly proclaim: "Bring out a round of your BEST champagne for all my friends here!"

Salter told employees he could only spend $600. But Club 10 owner Tim Beal said Salter bought at least 19 bottles of champagne -- priced from $150 to $2,000. That's awfully expensive champagne. But I don't really think that it becomes the staff's responsibility to see that a customer stays within budget. Perhaps $600 parties at strip clubs aren't the best way to celebrate a college graduation? I'm thinking in terms of a nice watch here...

Sounds like money that was better spent than his student loans...

sue Georgia Tech for a refund Fails on a logical fallacy. Education is not a cure for stupidity.

It certainly isn’t unknown for employees in these clubs to identify a sucker and lace his drinks with chloral hydrate or some similar drug. The mark can become very suggestible and will sign just about anything. The fraudsters tend to pick the type of law-abiding person who doesn’t have much experience with these practices and is unlikely to retaliate physically.

Well, at least he’s continuing his education albeit in a rather expensive manner.
