WASHINGTON NASA has agreed to search its archives once again for documents on a 1965 UFO incident in Pennsylvania, a step the space agency fought in federal court.
The government has refused to open its files about what, if anything, moved across the sky and crashed in the woods near Kecksburg, Pa., 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
Traffic was tied up in the area as curiosity seekers drove to the area, only to be kept away from the crash site by soldiers.
The Air Force's explanation for the unidentified flying object: a meteor or meteors.
"They could not find anything," one Air Force memo stated after a late-night search on Dec. 9, 1965. Several NASA employees also were reported to have been at the scene.
Eyewitnesses said a flatbed truck drove away a large object shaped like an acorn and about the size of a Volkswagen bus. A mock-up based on the descriptions of local residents sits behind the Kecksburg Volunteer Fire Department.
UFO enthusiasts refused to let the matter die and journalist Leslie Kean of New York City sued NASA four years ago for information.
"This is about the public's right to know," Kean said. "We would be doing this lawsuit regardless of whether UFO groups were interested in it or not. It's a freedom of information issue."
The agency has turned over several stacks of documents which Kean says are not responsive to the request, an argument that U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan agreed with.
In March, Sullivan rejected NASA's request to throw the case out of court, resulting in negotiations that led to the agency promising last week that it will conduct a more comprehensive search.

has a hodge podge of interesting, curious stuff from the alternative news site
for those interested.
Some good fun, some light, some serious . . . plenty for the compulsively derisive to rail at.
Cheers.
thx
Is it my imagination (not fantasy) or are all the characters on that show bi ?
It was a Giant Flying Squirrel.
With a CCCP on its tail.
Two groups of friends miles apart saw the same object in the sky here in MA back in the late 80’s. One group was catfishing by the river that night.
I heard the story from one group then a few days later heard the exact same story from the other group. They ended up getting together and talked about it. They agree that they both saw the same object. The said it wasn’t a plane, helicopter, balloon, swamp gas etc. It was a defined object that moved in ways no man made machine could ever do.
All of them (4 guys) are now absolutely convinced that UFO’s exsist.
One of the imaginary rights the founders forgot to mention, but often brought up by the press, unless it refers to investigations of the press.
Thanks for the link to above top secret - now that is a funny site! Do you think those tin-foil-hats really believe that, er, “stuff” they post?
I think we have a winner....And a dead Russian.

Murder is murder, even if it’s an intelligent alien. It is well documented from eyewitnesses that the craft weaved and bobbed before finally crashing in the forest, obviously under intelligent control(but he was having problems w/control). How would YOU like it if you crash landed on an alien planet and were immediately killed by fearful locals?
Yes, the OSI from DC was involved. The craft weaved and bobbed in the air before crashing, obviously not a soyuz or meteor, those are just blinds to fool the gullible public(move along folks, nothing to see here, move along...). This incident has been documented in a movie, a single shot was heard by the eye(ear)witnesses. No, this was murder, plain pure and simple; but who prosecutes?
I did hear about it (50 mi. away as the crow flies) — not at the time but the town discouraged discussion to discourage tourists.
It seems that way but still enjoy the series. I will take it over X Files. They drive a tough looking Rover too. I liked Captain Jack in Dr. Who and am glad to see him in another series. The stories are very well written in my opinion.
Save it for Art Bell.
1. Some such stuff is mostly true.
2. Some such stuff ismostly false.
3. Some such stuff is mostly disinformation—the best of which usually includes some truth.
4. Some such stuff is who knows what of a mixture.
5. Who knows how to tell between 1-4? Lift is very complex. Lots of things are hidden in plain sight. Lots of things are pretty hidden.
6. The arrogant, narrow, rigid, fearful, cheeky, derisive . . . are convinced THEIR construction on reality is all inclusively thorough and complete and 100% right or near so. They are to be believed least of all.

A. Some folks believe almost anything.
B. Some folks believe almost nothing.
C. Some folks have become good sifters and sorters of puzzle pieces.
D. Soem folks ONLY THINK they have become good sifters and sorters of information while their biases blind them wholesale.
E. Some folks have a miraculous day when they can tell their left hand from their right; up from down and their . . . from a . . .
F. Lots of folks are the blind leading the blind. Deriding the MSM one second and swallowing a list of MSM lies and NWO elites/globalists disinformation packages totally the next and routinely.

My world’s expert boss noted that the fringe groups earliest and most accurately pegged who Hitler was and what he would become and do. They were spot on. Very accurate. Yet they were truly fringe, flakey pre-war groups.
A lot of people fail to see the globalist handwriting on the wall though Scripture warned clearly about itn in specific terms 2000 years ago. Such willful blindness is tragic, stupid, clueless and arrogant.
Many FREEPERS have had UFO experiences and close observations—some in their work. It wise that they are mostly silent, except in occasional FREEPMAILS.
Besides, the derisive naysayers are no fun. Their prickly igorance and arrogance are real off putting—especially when one KNOWS something of the truth as well as one KNOWS their own hand or anything else emphatically true.
Take your pick. The world is complex. Life is complex. The puzzle pieces leave lots of room for conjecture along a lot of lines. . . . especially for the uninformed.
and the willfully blind.
ATS is ran by 3 great guys who seem to have a lot of connections. The goal DENY IGNORANCE is a great one.
Like FREEREPUBLIC.COM ATS is a great place to find news that the MSM ignores and/or tries to hide.
Actually, for the first time, this year, I’ve seen ATS scoop some news stories before even FR and certainly before the MSM.
This is a key era for chooseing whom one will serve, satan or God . . . and for choosing whom to believe . . .
or to just dismiss everything that’s not comfortable and routine.
Murder is murder, and there is no statute of limitations. Even if this was an intelligent alien, an honest federal judge would persue the case. If they think of us as “apes with guns”, what if they decide PAYBACK for killing one of their own is their only option, that we are not a just people? Think about it....
Klaatu barada nikto.
Linda Moulton Howe asserts that
people mutilations exactly like the cattle mutilations
have been going on for decades but that they are hyper, hyper sensitive and the FEDs et al do NOT want them publicized.
Then there’s the issue of evidently more than 3 million Americans having been abducted . . . a significant number never heard from again.
They are not nice critters regadless of what the new agers want us to believe.
Though I guess you and I differ on that score.
How’s your heart and the rest of your body, timer?
Or save the haughty derision for DU.
