He should have a huge cash flow from that park. Selig’s Brewers are a major beneficiary of this welfare scam. He doesn’t “own the team” like a traditional owner but his family makes money off of it.

Nobody around here has the balls to say it, but I will, you are an arrogant prick.

Why would you say that? He is correct.

One's man's prick is another man's view of one that is opinionated.

All depends.

I live in Connecticut so considering the subject I will refrain from making any judgment.

That said, let's try to keep in the spirit of a baseball thread, we may not have much longer to talk about it.

Go Sox!!!

I guess civility isn’t one of your virtues and neither is awareness of the facts. The Red Sox and especially the Yankees subsidize teams like the Brewers with “revenue sharing” and “luxury taxes” which is nothing more than forced transfer payments from one business entity to another. After he became commissioner Selig had the team placed in a family trust so he has no say over the team’s direct operations. However, the fact that the Brewers get money from big market under an agreement that he championed as a way to create more parity in the game. He benefited from that policy until the team was sold.

My timeline was off so I acknowledge my error.
