Well, I didn’t see that one coming ping....
So THAT’s why Snape had to kill him? :)
Thanks for the ping. I read her exact quote on Mugglenet and I think her words got twisted a bit.
How can a fictional character be “gay”, when there was no indication of any kind of homosexual relationship as part of the story? I’m not buying the Grindelwald as a gay lover explanation. Darn, now I have to reread Deathly Hallows to see how I could have been so blind! :-)
I suppose next we’re going to hear that all the teachers were gay, since none of them appear to be married or in a relationship?
Nor I. I've read (well, listened to) all the books several times, seen all the movies, and followed all the HP threads here on FR.
Nor for that matter does RatBoy recall any gay themes or characteristics relating to any of the characters, though he did comment that Dumbledor was soft spoken.
I'll have to check with DarlingDaughter and get her take.
Homosexuals everywhere? I don't see them.
I guess you have to be one to see one...
Me either. I don't care if he is or isn't, I'm still shocked. Ha!
I knew Dumbledore was gay back in HBP when he showed up at the orphanage in that plum-colored velvet suit. ;)
But it will sell the next book, retrokitten; the reference guide about each character.
Next thing you know she'll publish a how-to guide on inter-racial dating.
